Shat! or is that Sat?

Well, I pissed the customer off in sufficient time to get to the pub by 5.20pm. Not only did I manage that, I offered good service at the same time.

I got home around 8.00pm; well on the way (see previous post); after having more than a few beers with Ged. Ged, a coffee shop proprietor, an ex "Mick" has been searching for "Truth" for many years and has found the teachings of Sailor Bob to his liking.

Its great to get on the booze and relax with someone who has experienced "no-thing". A play arises, and even trying to discuss it, after a few Guinesses and Kilkenys, ends up in some kind of convoluted discussion. But fun none the less.

Ged suggested a wine to take home, and I dare not it drink without "she who must be obeyed", as it is a little out of my price range. I will save it for a special occasion, maybe tomorrow. But like Beesucker said today, once I go through the queue with a product, I tend to pay for it, rather than say I can't afford it.

Tonight is "All Saints Night" or in its popular colloquialism, Halloween. This is one of the things about the influence of US culture I do not like. Well actually it is Scottish, the Yanks just got hold of it, burnt a few witches and continue to celebrate it without any idea of its significance (sic).

Down the pub tonight, there were kids all dressed up in their costumes; from Spiderman to Fairy, to Skulls and Angels. Jeez, would I have scared the "hell" out of them, if true to form, I drew a pentagram on the floor, got my ritual sword out and invoked Spirit. People would run for miles. Yet this is the true meaning of the day.

The day has ended well, I still have 3/4 a bottle of wine, my daughter and I are communicating and tomorrow, yet, does not exist.

Look at "dem eyes, de'res a demon in dem"!

Shit, shit, shit

Only half an hour to go 'till the workday ends and I am bored shitless. Some days are so busy, I don't have enough time to think, other days, I blog my little arse off.

If I work it well, I will count the till and close everything else off by 4.45pm so I can close right on 5.00pm, drive home and walk to the pub by 5.20pm. By 7.30pm, I should be well on my way.

Oh shit! A customer just walked in!

As UG would say; Shit, shit, shit.

Synchronisity!!!!!!!

The Kamdevil sent me an email recently, which I thought I would share:-

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years before. Because of their hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minneapolis and flew to Florida on Friday, and his wife was flying down the following day.The husband checked into the hotel, and unlike years ago, there was a computer in his room, and he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without noticing his error, sent the email to the wrong address.

Meanwhile...somewhere in Houston... a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a Minister who passed away after suffering a heart attack. The widow decided to check her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and then fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and then glanced up and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Date: Friday, January 20, 2006
Subject: I have Arrived!

Dearest Love:

I know you are surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now, and you are allowed to send e-mail to your loved ones.I have just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

PS ...... Sure is freaking hot down here!!

Gregji's New Horizons

Last night was a hot and balmy evening, the first smell of summer and a great environment to celebrate Greg's new job with a few beers.

Greg and I, together with his twin brother Geof, have been friends for over thirty five years, having met at High School.

And the Story Continues

My previous blog has seen its day and I am now posting on two new blogs. This one is for my day to day adventures and the other for my spiritual musings.

Enjoy the ride!
